A correctly specified water pump, thermostat, or timing kit can still fail prematurely if the fluid running through it does not match the system it was designed for. Coolant is not interchangeable by colour, and the wrong chemistry – silicates where none are specified, additives incompatible with aluminium components, contamination from old fluid left in the system – causes the same outcome as a worn mechanical part: seal degradation, corrosion, and reduced cooling performance.

HEPU® Fluids covers the full range of liquids required to keep a vehicle’s cooling and windscreen systems performing correctly: coolant concentrates, ready-to-use coolants, winter windscreen washer fluids, de-icer, and AdBlue – each formulated to meet OE and manufacturer specifications.

Why Fluid Specification Is Not Optional

Coolant chemistry has evolved considerably since the early IAT (Inorganic Acid Technology) fluids that required replacement every two years. Current OAT and HOAT formulations extend service intervals to five years or more, but this longevity depends entirely on using the correct fluid for the application – mixing technologies, or using a fluid not approved for the vehicle’s specific manufacturer standard, can compromise corrosion protection and seal compatibility regardless of how advanced the individual product is.
