Every bearing surface, every camshaft journal, every hydraulically actuated component in the engine depends on the oil pump to deliver pressurised lubrication at the correct rate, at the correct moment. Oil pressure is not a single fixed value – it is a curve that must be maintained correctly from idle through full load, typically 1.5–2.5 bar at idle and 3.0–4.5 bar at 3,000 rpm. A worn pump does not always announce itself with a warning light; pressure loss can develop gradually for tens of thousands of kilometres before symptoms become obvious.
HEPU® oil pumps are manufactured to OE specification, covering both fixed-displacement and variable-displacement designs, maintaining the precise pressure curve the engine was built around.
