HEPU® P999-YLW Coolant Concentrate (Yellow)

HEPU® P999-YLW is part of the P999 series – a complete range of HEPU® coolant concentrates developed for modern cooling systems, from passenger cars to heavy-duty vehicles. Like every product in the series, it is supplied undiluted, so the workshop can prepare exactly the right mixing ratio for the climate and application, providing year-round protection against freezing, overheating and corrosion.

P999-YLW is the yellow-coloured concentrate of the series, based on ethylene glycol and formulated for all-purpose use in aluminium and cast-iron engines. It also protects the cooling system against scale formation. Mixed 1:1 with demineralised water it protects down to −38 °C.

HEPU® P999-YLW is a concentrate and must be mixed with clean water before filling the cooling system.

Method

  1. Use clean, low-mineral water – demineralised or distilled is recommended.
  2. Pre-mix coolant and water in the correct ratio in a clean container. Do not pour concentrate and water separately into the system.
  3. Fill the cooling system with the prepared mixture, bleed air from the circuit and check the level when the engine is cold.
  4. Never run the system on concentrate alone or on water alone.

Mixing ratio → frost protection

Concentrate : Water Frost protection
50 : 50 −38 °C (verified HEPU figure)
~40 : 60 ~ −25 °C (approx.)
~60 : 40 ~ −52 °C (approx.)

Guidance: keep the concentrate content between 33 % (minimum, for year-round corrosion protection) and 60 % (practical maximum). Higher glycol content does not improve frost protection and reduces heat transfer.

Always confirm the coolant type and colour required by the vehicle manufacturer before topping up or mixing with another product.
