Modern diesel engines meeting EURO emissions standards rely on Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) to convert harmful nitrogen oxides into nitrogen and water vapour. The process depends entirely on AdBlue – a precisely specified urea solution injected into the exhaust stream. Low-purity or contaminated AdBlue doesn’t just reduce SCR efficiency: it can damage the dosing module and injector, the same component responsible for metering the fluid accurately.
