Water Pump Kits

Water Pump Kits
- The Complete Repair Standard

In belt-driven engines, the water pump and the timing belt share the same drive system. They wear together. They should be replaced together. Every time.

A timing belt service without water pump replacement leaves the most vulnerable component in place – with worn bearings, a degraded shaft seal, and a service life already consumed by the kilometres that wore out the belt. When the pump seizes or the seal fails after a timing belt service, the belt is the first casualty. And in an interference engine, the belt is not the only one.

HEPU® timing belt kits with water pump contain every component required for a complete, safe timing belt service: timing belt, water pump with needle bearing, tensioner, rollers, and all mounting hardware – from a single manufacturer, to OE specification, in one box.

Why the Water Pump Cannot Wait

The water pump bearing and shaft seal reach end of service life at approximately the same interval as the timing belt – 100,000 to 150,000 km. By the time the belt requires replacement, the pump has already logged the same number of operating hours under the same load conditions. A pump that “looks fine” and “isn’t leaking” at timing belt replacement is a pump operating on borrowed time.

The failure sequence is direct: worn pump bearing seizes → belt load spikes → belt skips or breaks → valve-to-piston contact in an interference engine → engine destruction. The cost of that outcome is not comparable to the cost of including the pump in the kit.

At HEPU®, the timing belt and the water pump are never treated as separate service decisions. They are one system. One service interval. One kit.
